The first edition of Linked Lunch, an event based on meeting people you already know on LinkedIn in your city and promoted by Fran Cortés, Ángela Labrador, Adrián Crovetto and Pedro García, premiered last Tuesday in Granada.
With more than 400 attendees, Linked Lunch was even attended by Marifran Carazo, Mayor of Granada. My sincere congratulations to the organizers, since filling the auditorium of the Parque de las Ciencias is no easy task.
The guest speakers shared talks aimed at improving personal branding and self-improvement, and we were able to enjoy great communicators such as Josef Ajram, Ángeles Carsi, Juan Merodio and also speakers as voted by the guests: Alejandra Domíngez, Ignacio Castillo, Javier Tallón, Javier López and Aadel Hamad.
What struck me the most was the approach to meet people, thanks to the fact that there was 1 hour of coffee between talks and it was also full of Sponsors’ Stands.
And from the presentations that I was able to attend, several things caught my attention.
Josef Ajram’s talk was very personal, in which he went through his story of entrepreneurship and sport. What stood out to me the most was a sentence he put in big:
It was a very personal one.
.You have to know how to lose. Stop Loss
Josef Ajram
And it is that we must stop being always the best all the time and all the time.
From Javier Lopez, I kept this slide, the one about getting out of your comfort zone and always taking a little risk with every step we take.
I liked Juan Merodio quite a lot, as it was a very practical presentation. He was telling us how to practice our personal branding, which can start with our own website as I have or Sacra Jáimez, and share content that we see interesting.
We don’t just have to be good, we have to look good and certainly communicate it.
Here he detailed us the content strategy that Juan Merodio performs which is based on the following flow (trepidante!):
- Share on the blog .
- Create a podcast about it
- Create a podcast about it Podcast it in video format and share it on YouTube.
- Makes video clips and shares it on different networks
- And of them, a Newsletter
- Which finally ends up in a Twitch.
- .
Also interesting was Alejandra Dominguez speaking about AI and unfortunately I missed the rest of the papers, which I’m sure would be very interesting.

Congratulate the initiative and we will see how it goes in other provinces, I hope very well. We will try to be in such initiatives in the coming dates.
